Zhang Wei-liang is a well-known Chinese flute player, composer, and scholar, and at present a professor of the China Conservatory of Music. He has won the Best Music Award in international film festivals with his solo performance for the soundtrack recordings of such major films as Ju Dou, Raise the Red Lantern, Farewell My concubine, The Assasin, etc.
